Why this trip
You asked for a wellness reset with real mountains and real mornings, without losing a single working hour.
Cape Town in late summer is the rare place that delivers both halves of that brief. Two hours ahead of London means you can climb Lion's Head at sunrise, swim at Saunders' Rocks, and still be at your desk before your team logs on. The rand makes a premium apartment and a private-club workspace cost less than a grey February at home. We placed you in Sea Point, the promenade neighbourhood where morning exercise is the local religion, rather than the tourist core, and built your weeks around a simple rule: ocean and mountains before work, golden hour after it, adventures on the weekends.
Flights · book direct with the airline
Two ways to fly. Both overnight, both direct.
Departing Saturday 9 January, returning Sunday 24 January. Prices are live for two passengers, checked today. Overnight southbound flights land you at 09:50 with no time difference worth feeling, you'll sleep in your own (new) bed that night and work Monday as normal.

Workspace · two passes, one rhythm
Desks worth leaving the flat for.
You asked for call-proof quiet plus a social option. Use the flat for deep-work mornings, then split your afternoons between these two: one for heads-down focus by the harbour, one for community on your own street.
Focus days · V&A Waterfront
Workshop17, The Watershed
Cape Town's flagship coworking space, on the harbour with mountain views from the mezzanine. Soundproofed call booths, meeting rooms by the hour, serious coffee. 15 minutes from your door on the MyCiTi bus.
The neighbourhood option: a five-minute walk, rooftop desks, a genuinely social crowd of long-stay remote workers, and weekly community runs and sundowners. Your fastest route to a Cape Town circle.
Cape Town runs two hours ahead of London in January, which means your 9am team catch-up is your 11am. We've designed the whole trip around that gift: the best hours of the day are yours before anyone at home is awake.
Week 1
Land & find the rhythm
Arrive Sunday morning, groceries and SIM sorted by lunch, working as normal Monday. The pattern sets itself fast: the promenade at sunrise, a swim at Saunders' Rocks before your first call, Workshop17 induction Tuesday, and Lion's Head at dawn Wednesday (90 minutes, back at your desk by 9). First weekend: the Franschhoek wine tram on Saturday, the Pipe Track and a slow beach on Sunday.
Week 2
The big ones & the finale
Table Mountain via Platteklip Gorge at dawn midweek, golden-hour swims after your last call, a long-table dinner on Kloof Street on Thursday. The final Saturday is the one you'll talk about: the Cape Point and penguins loop, fish and chips in Kalk Bay, sundowners at Chinchilla rooftop. Fly home overnight Sunday and land Monday two hours "early", the most rested person in the office.
Golden hour is after your last call, the promenade is the commute home
Experiences · matched to "wellness reset + outdoors"
Pre-vetted, small-group, book in one tap.
Skip the review-trawling. Each of these is the best-rated operator we could find for the thing itself, book the dated ones early, leave the rest flexible.
Weekly ritual
Lion's Head sunrise hike, guided
Your first ascent with a guide who knows the chains and the shortcuts, after that you'll do it solo every week. Departs 04:45, summit for sunrise, down by 08:00.
The valley's best day, done properly: hop-on tram through six estates, lunch at Mont Rochelle booked for you. Go on a Saturday; book two weeks ahead in season.
Mid-trip treat for the middle weekend, when you've earned it: treatments above the harbour with Table Mountain filling the window. Book the late-afternoon slot and stay for golden hour.
Four days, one rental car, ocean-view desks in Wilderness. We've included a separate mini-itinerary at the end of this Trip Design, say the word and we'll detail it fully.

Booking checklist · do it in this order
Forty minutes, start to finish.
Everything links straight to the provider. Book top-to-bottom, the time-sensitive things first, the flexible things whenever.
Flights: lock the fare
BA 59 out, BA 58 home. Fares for your dates have moved £40 in the last fortnight; this is the line to do today.
No visa needed. UK passports get 90 days on arrival, your 14-night stay fits comfortably. Passport must be valid 30 days past return with two blank pages.
Working rights
Working remotely for your UK employer as a visitor is the established norm for stays like this, and your company's work-from-abroad policy covers South Africa. We'll send the one-page summary to forward to HR.
Connectivity
eSIM before you fly (one Vodacom 30-day package, ~£18, covers the whole trip) so you land online. Your apartment's fibre is your workhorse; the eSIM is the backup.
Power
Grid outages are far rarer than they were, and your building's full inverter means you'd barely notice one anyway. Plug type M+N, two adapters are in your packing list.
Getting around
Sea Point is a walking life. For everything else, Uber is cheap and everywhere: budget ~£3-5 a ride. You won't need a car except the Garden Route weekend.
Money & safety
Cards everywhere; carry little cash. The usual big-city rules apply: rides at night rather than walks, valuables out of sight on the beach. Your neighbourhood guide has the specifics.
